The BKYSC Empowerment Coach program is a seaonal mentorship program (typically 4-6 months) that provides youth the opportunity to receive guidance and support from a trusted mentor in a specific area of interest. Whether it's college essay writing, financial literacy, career development, or a typical mentor-mentee relationship, the program is meant to help youth build skills, gain experience, and explore their interests in a safe and supportive environment. Over the course of the program, youth have the chance to work closely with a mentor to identify their strengths and goals, develop specific skills, apply their learning in real-world settings, and create a plan for their future. Hopefully, at the end of the mentorship program, students will graduate with a tangible result (i.e. college essay, business plan, etc) as well as stronger sense of independence, self-awareness, and confidence.
